The music & artists’ Social club

The Music & Artists' Social Club is the group for creative people of all genres.

Formerly the Muso Social Club, we started off as the student group for music students at the Victoria University School of Music, which has now combined with the Massey Conservatorium of Music to create the New Zealand School of Music. We're based in Wellington, New Zealand. Our current form has been around since 2005, when we opened our arms to all creative people: film-makers, designers, actors - everyone. (Hence the Music & Artists' Social Club was born).

We have two main aims:

1) to provide easy marketing and promotion for our members and all the creative things that they do.

2) to provide opportunities for our members to meet other creative people who can help them in their future careers.

*We have regular email newsletters, this main website, and pages on the main social networking sites, where we advertise our events and promote our members.

*We run regular gigs around Wellington where we showcase our members and local talent, and where our members get to meet important people in the Wellington arts community.

*We sponsor some of the events that our members run, providing support and help with advertising.

*We have a Filmmakers Collective, for film-makers to gain experience working on projects and where they can find cast and crew for their own projects.

*We help administer the All-Stars Choir. See Choir.

*We hold events for our members to meet each other and other creative types.

If you want to play at any of our gigs, be involved with the film-making collective, take part in the all-comers choir, or help put up posters for us, please email us with your details.

This group is mainly for people in Wellington, but please feel free to join if you're not in our neck of the woods.
